Dr. Raies is originally from St. Clairsville, Ohio. He is the owner of Portsmouth Vision Center, along with his wife, Dr. Kelly Raies. Dr. Raies has a variety of hobbies. He has performed in the Southern Ohio Light Opera, the Portsmouth Little Theater, and has performed in and co-directed the SOMC’s Red Stockings Revue, a local variety show in Portsmouth. He has completed the New York City Marathon two times, and still enjoys running in local 5K races. His favorite hobby is managing and performing in the band BAD HABITS, "the EyeDocs of Rock". This five piece, classic rock band, four of which are fellow Optometrists, has been performing since 1987. Dr. Raies is an elder and chancel choir member at Second Presbyterian Church, and is active in various charitable organizations and events locally. He and his wife, Kelly, have three daughters, Sarah, Allison, and Anne Marie. Dr. Raies meets all the qualifications required of a dancing judge. This is Sonie’s second season as a qualified Dancing With Our Stars judge. Because of Dancing With Our Stars 2013, people now realize the depth and breadth of her dance background and so it probably will come as no surprise that her dance card is regularly filled with other choreography and judging opportunities. The Program Director for Compass Community Health Care Center in Portsmouth, Sonie enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and her parents in her spare time. A former chairperson of the ARC board and a current volunteer, Sonie is proud to support the work of the Ohio River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. He enjoys traveling with his family and served as a Red Cross Board member for seven years. Ryan is an eight time Ironman finisher and an avid biker, swimmer and runner. Wendi returns to Dancing With Our Stars as a professional this year. Many of you might recall she danced last year as a Star. Because of her passion for dance and her enthusiasm to give -she is back! A resident of Oak Hill, Wendi has been employed at Southern Ohio Medical Center since 1986 where she is currently the Administrative Director of SOMC Cancer Services and Community Health and Wellness. Most of us know Wendi, through her many efforts throughout the community to make this a better, healthier place to live and work. A resident of Waverly, Sonya is the owner of Treasured Images Photography where she specializes in senior, baby and school portraits. Sonya enjoys triathlons, travel, community service as well as dance and fitness. As a fitness instructor, she incorporates dancing into her routines. Although Sonya does not consider herself a professional ballroom dancer, she does love music which she feels can move the body and soul. Autumn returns as a Professional Dancer this year. A student at Shawnee State University, Autumn is a dance instructor with eleven years experience with Cirque d’Art Theater and Inlet Dance Theater, a professional dance company in Cleveland. She enjoys teaching and learning all forms of dance and is a semi-professional contortionist. Dance is Autumn’s passion and she feels blessed to be returning to the Dancing With Our Stars stage and sharing her talent to help raise money for the local Red Cross. A State Licensed and Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Michael’s hometown is Portsmouth. He studied ballet for seven years at En’Lair Ballet under the direction of Lynne Daehler and theater is his hobby. Michael sits on the Board of Governors for the Portsmouth Little There where he directs, choreographs dances, sings and acts in productions for the community. He is proud to help the local Red Cross Dancing With Our Stars and support an organization that has positively affected the lives of thousands in both Scioto and Pike Counties.
